"As a person who has literally gone from high-school dropout and G.E.D. to Ph.D. I am foremost interested in honoring the dignity and inherent intellect in students. Very often I find that these qualities are buried in students’ self-doubt, or restrained by what Bertrand Russell describes as the “tyranny of custom.” I am not the kind of teacher who views himself as superior to his students. Each and every semester I am honored to realize that I, too, have something to learn. Indeed this profound, critical exchange of ideas and ideals is what attracted me to college in the first place" ~ from Dr. Nall's philosophy of education

"Dr. Nall is one of THE BEST teachers at IRSC, by far. He is passionate about social issues, and helps you look at life in a whole new way. I looked forward to going to class, because he was such a great speaker and because of the fact that he had an open belief system, that your thoughts on a subject were something he really wanted to hear" ~ Student review on Rate My Professor, June 18, 2014 "Single best professor I've ever had. Extremely passionate about what he teaches and you can go talk to him about anything. He may seem a little intimidating at first but he's really a very kind man. Take him, your thought process will change completely. I LOVE him!" ~ FAU student review on Rate My Professor, May 4, 2014 |
"Awesome teacher who is extremely passionate about what he does. Not only does he teach what he loves, but he also goes out into the world uses his knowledge for the betterment of society. Do the essays and do the assigned readings and you will do great! I highly recommend getting involved in class discussions.Don't be afraid to speak up, it helps." ~ Student review on Rate My Professor, May 10, 2013 "Dr. Nall is my favorite professor at FAU. He is progressive, open minded and passionate, which is exactly what a college professor should be. You will have to open your mind to do well in his class and you will be glad you did. I guarantee you will change your way of thinking for the better on at least one topic after taking his class." ~ FAU student review on Rate My Professor, December 16, 2013 |
